Overview

Geogram (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit geogram.com (the “Site”) or contact us through forms on the Site.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy and our Terms and Conditions.

Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Contact information — name, email address, inquiry type, and message content when you submit our contact form.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time on page, referring URLs, browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), and interaction data collected through Google Analytics.
  • Technical data — IP address, cookies, and similar identifiers used to operate and improve the Site.
  • Theme preference — your Hero/Villain theme choice may be stored locally in your browser via localStorage to remember your display preference.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate potential projects
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Measure traffic, engagement, and performance using Google Analytics
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics is deployed through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, links clicked, session duration, general geographic region, browser and device characteristics, and referral source.

Google may process this information on our behalf as a service provider. Data collected by Google Analytics is typically aggregated and does not directly identify you by name, though Google may receive your IP address and online identifiers. Google may use the information it collects for its own purposes as described in its privacy policy.

You can learn more about Google’s practices at policies.google.com/privacy. To opt out of Google Analytics on this and other sites, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or adjust your browser cookie settings.

Cookies and local storage

The Site uses cookies, localStorage, and session storage for essential functionality, analytics, and user preferences (such as theme selection). Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain Site features and our ability to measure usage.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers — vendors who help us host, analyze, or operate the Site, including Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) and Google Firebase (Firestore for contact form submissions), under confidentiality and data-processing obligations
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information

Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to inquiries, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account and Google’s policies.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion, subject to certain exceptions.

You may opt out of Google Analytics as described in the Google Analytics section above. To exercise other privacy rights or ask questions about this policy, contact us at legal@geogram.com.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when revisions were last made. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
