BYD Material Handling

Geogram's principal led a material handling training video for BYD from art direction through post—animated on-screen graphics, editorial, and music selection—explaining how Lithium Iron Phosphate battery technology pairs with electric forklifts for safer indoor operation, faster charging, and round-the-clock facility performance.

The brief

BYD is known for advanced battery technology—Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) that has become one of the world's safest chemistries for industrial power. Paired with their material handling equipment, that technology creates a product line with no fossil fuels, making indoor use practical and compliant where combustion engines cannot go.

Against traditional lead-acid batteries, BYD's approach is far superior: charge time to 80% is within a few hours, and runtime reaches eight hours on a single charge. Operators can run their facility more efficiently without the need for additional spare battery banks—supporting true 24-hour operation. The systems are particularly useful in cold storage applications, where reliability and uptime matter most.

Geogram's principal translated that technical advantage into clear, operator-focused training—unifying look, motion, edit, and a carefully chosen score so teams understand the equipment, the battery platform, and the operational benefits from day one. The creative approach had to work in loud warehouse environments and on muted conference-room screens alike: legible graphics, confident pacing, and a soundtrack that supports focus without distraction.

What we delivered

Art direction

Visual direction across the entire piece—typography, color, framing, and graphic language aligned with BYD's industrial brand and readable at a glance on the warehouse floor or in a training room.

Animated on-screen graphics

Motion graphics and animated callouts that explain battery specs, charge cycles, runtime, and safety procedures—turning technical data into visuals operators can follow without pausing the film.

Video editing

Full editorial assembly and pacing—structuring procedures, equipment demos, and product story into a training narrative that holds attention and reinforces retention.

Music selection

Score curated and licensed for the training format—steady, professional, and unobtrusive so narration and on-screen instruction stay primary while the film still feels polished and complete.

Color grading & finishing

Consistent color correction and final polish—indoor warehouse lighting balanced, equipment and graphics holding clarity, and a broadcast-ready finish for sales, onboarding, and field use.

Audio mix

Final sound balance across voice-over, ambient warehouse audio, effects, and score—mixed so critical instructions cut through in real-world playback conditions.

The result

A training video that connects BYD's battery innovation to everyday warehouse performance—indoor-ready electric equipment, faster charging than lead-acid, eight-hour runtime, and the uptime cold storage and high-throughput facilities demand. Art direction and animated graphics make the technical story scannable; editorial and a selected score give it the pace and tone of professional training content. BYD gets a reusable asset for operators, sales, and the field.
