California Transit Association Keynote

The brief

BYD needed a high-energy opening film for a marquee moment—the California Transit Association keynote. Before Macy Neshati took the stage as VP Marketing/Sales North America, the room had to understand why BYD's electric bus offering was industry-leading: not just product specs, but scale, investor confidence, and global recognition that would resonate with transit decision-makers.

The film had to move quickly—stacking proof points, press validation, and product beauty into a hype reel that felt authoritative on a conference screen and reusable across trade show and sales environments.

Key messages in the film

Geogram structured the narrative around the talking points BYD needed in the room:

  • Industry leadership — BYD's electric bus product offering positioned as best-in-class for North American transit
  • Investor confidence — Berkshire Hathaway's 10% stake and public belief in BYD's long-term trajectory
  • Global scale — the world's largest battery manufacturer and largest electric bus manufacturer, with more than 6,500 electric buses on order for 2016
  • Press validation — Bloomberg: "BYD is the top global technology company in the world." Fortune: "BYD is one of the 15 companies most likely to change the world."
  • US investor footprint — though China-based, 60% of publicly held shares owned by US-based investors
  • Product showcase — the full electric bus lineup, culminating in the world's first mass-produced 60-foot articulated transit bus
